RESIDENT'S GUIDE
TO THE
FLORIDA KEYS
You’ll never find a better paradise than the Florida Keys…if you live in Miami or Broward you are near enough to give yourself a vacation every weekend. The Keys life is a world apart from anything else. There's a different mindset, a different pace. Do you like slower pace, more relaxed entertaining, wearing sandals, khaki shorts year round, sun-sun-sun? And water sports - deep sea or flats fishing, snorkeling, scuba, kayaking, wave running, spear fishing, etc.
There are many people with weekend homes. Look around and consider renting for a relocation, until you find what you like. The further south you go, the more you become enmeshed in keys culture, the fewer conveniences there are (until you reach Key West) and the less influence from Miami there is. So if you want to be within grasp of Miami, Islamorada might be as far south as you'd want to go. But if you're wanting total immersion, you could points south and really enjoy being away from the crowds.
